Radical transparency
Every euro has a name.
We do not ask for trust — we show the accounts. Here is the journey of every contribution.
The ledger
In · where it went · what changed.

0 recurring contributions since launch.
Awarded on merit by the i3S committee to early-career researchers.
Immunotherapy, cancer genomics and computational biology, in progress.
Impact
What euros, with a name, make possible.
Methodology
How we count.
We count to the euro. The amount we show is the sum of donations actually paid, updated automatically from the database; the number of supporters is the count of those donations.
Cost policy: operating costs (payment processing and hosting) are kept to a minimum and disclosed in the reports. The vast majority of every euro goes straight to research.
Statutes
The rules, in writing.
The rules that govern the grant, in plain language. We do not ask for trust — it is written down.
-
1. Purpose
To fund outstanding cancer research at i3S, through many donations, for the benefit of all. The mission is the grant — not a structure.
-
2. Not-for-profit
The grant is not-for-profit. Every euro received goes to the grant; nothing is distributed as profit.
-
3. Selection on merit
Researchers and projects are selected by the i3S scientific committee, solely on merit and according to public criteria.
-
4. Custody of the capital
The capital raised is held in escrow at i3S until it is allocated to the selected projects. It is i3S that safeguards the funds before they are invested.
-
5. Allocation of funds
The vast majority of funds is allocated directly to research. Operating costs are kept to a minimum and disclosed in the reports.
-
6. Transparency
We publish a quarterly report with the account balance and an annual report. Each contribution can be followed along the “in → where it went → what changed” path.
-
7. Donor list
Anyone who wishes appears on the public list, by explicit consent; anyone who prefers stays anonymous. The email is never public.
-
8. Governance and conflicts of interest
The grant’s management and the scientific committee act in the interest of the mission. Anyone with a conflict of interest abstains from the relevant decisions.
-
9. Accountability
Accounts are closed annually and the reports are made publicly available on this site.
-
10. Amendments
These rules may be updated to better serve the mission; the version in force is always the one published here.
